She loved her family with everything she had. She was an amazing mother, grandmother and friend. She owned the Jamestown Phoenix Restaurant in Jamestown, OH for 17 years. She was voted citizen of the year and was the Grand Marshall of the Bean Festival by the Jamestown Lion’s Club.

John was a faithful follower of Christ and his love for God could be found in his contagious smiles and actions. John so much appreciated life. He knew every day was a gift and he would try to squeeze as much as he could into each 24-hour period. John was a tremendous people person. This scripture verse comes to mind when thinking of John and how he lived – Ephesians 4:32 “and be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving one another, even a God for Christ’s sake has forgiven you.”
