Janet Derrick loved her family and church.  She was very devout to her faith and an active member of Gateway Missionary Baptist Church.  She was very loved by her family and friends and will be truly missed.

Evan was a wonderful son, brother, and friend. He had a great sense of humor and he would do just about anything to make people laugh. He loved music, traveling to Tennessee, and was fascinated with aviation. Evan chose to become an organ donor just a few short weeks before he gave the gift of life to others.

Warren Copeland was a professor of social ethics in the religion department and director of urban studies for 47 years at Wittenberg University. At the same time, for almost 30 years, he dedicated his life to the people of Springfield as their mayor.  "Faith is most fundamentally about how we live our lives, about how we live out love and its cousin justice in difficult situations." 

Patty was a loving mother, sister, aunt and Mamaw to a grateful family. She gave as selflessly in life as she did in death. She made a difference!

Mike had a love for racing motorcycles and gardening. Everyone that knew him had a funny story or a memorable moment to share. His one of a kind grin and his caring ways will live forever in our hearts. 

Dawn was a devoted daughter, mother, wife and “Nana.” She passed of stage IV colorectal cancer. She enjoyed travel, children and animals. We were all so pleased to learn that she was able to be a donor.

Throughout her life Mary was always known as one who loved and cared about others. Her family and friends meant everything to her. She would give her time and energy to help others with whatever they needed. Mary lived her life with severe epilepsy and she always wanted to donate her brain to science so that others might benefit from her life. Mary was taken from us prematurely due to a fall. We know that even though her brain was unable to be donated, she was still able to help others through this gift.

Brett was number two out of four boys. His first love was music and second was children. He had a heart of gold.

She had such a great soul. Wonderful loving mother, wife and grandma. Loved her family more than anything. She was a very peaceful lady that is greatly missed.

Adam was a loved son, sibling and Aniyah’s daddy. We miss him dearly more than describable. I am sure Adam would be happy to know his donation helped another person.

Scott was one of eight children. He had a passion for Harley Davidson Motorcycles, antique vehicles, John Deere tractors, and guns. He loved his white German Shepherd, Koda.

Scott was a loving son and bother. He had a very generous and loving heart. He would do anything for anyone.

We are so proud of Scott for donating his organs and tissues to those in need.

We love and miss him so much. I miss his phone calls, his many visits, his quick wit. He was so loving.

One lung recipient was Mona. His kidneys, lungs, heart, and liver were placed, but his liver recipient’s transplant was not successful.

Lowell shared his cornea.  He was an amazing man.
