David leaves an amazing legacy of service to his country and community. He was an Eagle Scout and graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy. He retired as a Lt. Colonel after a military career which included assignments with the Space Shuttle Program and the Anti-Satellite Missile. He supported and volunteered his time for many organizations, and was named the 2022 Volunteer of the Year for the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force. David was a consistent blood donor, with over 140 lifetime donations. His family is devastated at his loss, but proud and comforted by the knowledge that he helped so many people through his commitment to serving others.
